England have opted not to make changes to their squad for the fourth and final Test against Pakistan, despite suffering defeat at the Oval.
Yorkshire seamer Tim Bresnan has been added to the 11 who were on duty in the third Test, a match the tourists won by four wickets to keep the series alive.
National selector Geoff Miller admitted there had still been some positives in defeat, including a welcome return to form for opener Alastair Cook.
However, Miller is looking for a "strong performance" from England when the series finale gets underway at Lord's on Thursday.
Improvement
"There were some real positives from the last Test such as Alastair Cook's outstanding century and the way the team fought hard on the final day defending a small total," he said.
"But ultimately the team is looking for an improved performance to finish the series well.
"We have been saying throughout this entire series that consistency is key and that certainly remains the case.
"We know Pakistan are a dangerous side, which they showed in the last Test, so we will be looking for a strong performance across the board in this final Test match of the summer."
England won by 354 runs and nine wickets respectively in the first two Tests, making it six victories on the spin. But their hopes of extending that run to seven came to an end at the Oval, where they twice suffered batting collapses.
